The businesses contained in each segment are as follows.
● IoT related business: Development, manufacture and sale of image sensor inspection related products
● Environmental energy business: Development, manufacture and sale of drying deodorizers and exhaust gas treatment systems
● Promotion of Industry 4.0 business: Development, manufacture and sale of precision vibration isolation systems, and FA image processing equipment

What is the Company’s main business?

The main business of our Group is the manufacture and sale of image sensor inspection related products in the IoT related business. These products account for approximately 60-70% of our consolidated net sales.

Does INTER ACTION manufacture semiconductors?

We do not manufacture semiconductors.

We manufacture inspection devices to inspect the quality of image sensors that are a type of semiconductor and then sell them to image sensor manufacturers.

What kind of products are your illuminators and Pupil Lens Module® (PLM®)?
A
Illuminators are devices that beam the light necessary for image sensor inspections. Customers seek strict specifications in the angle, color temperature, brightness etc. of the light, and expect it to be highly regulated.
PLM® reproduces the lens of camera modules, such as are embedded in smartphones. Using them in inspections makes it possible to conduct inspections under conditions close to the actual environment.

We manufacture all our illuminators and PLM® in the INTER ACTION head office (Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture).

What is the ratio of domestic sales to overseas sales?
A
The ratio of domestic sales to overseas sales in consolidated net sales is about half.

What are the Company’s thoughts on future growth strategies?
A
The growth of the IoT related business will be the core driver in the short-term following an increase in demand for image sensors. Meanwhile, we will develop and promote our new businesses such as the FA image processing equipment business and laser processing equipment business in the mid- to long-term.
